FOR the pro-war blood mongers to claim that they are the true supporters of our troops and that people such as myself of an anti-war disposition are not, is at best a ham-fisted attempt to take the moral high ground and at worst a barefaced lie.

The whole rationale of the pro-war lobby seems to be highly subjective, emotional and ill thought out.

I have several acquaintances with family members currently serving in the Gulf and far from being pro-war they are convinced that their loved ones' lives are being needlessly threatened in an obscene grab for diminishing resources to make rich oil men richer.

As an anti-war supporter, I too support our troops. Here's how. It's bad enough that armies have to exist at all on this godforsaken and dying planet. To sacrifice young lives in order to maintain the capitalist status quo of the filthy rich is an obscenity.

Bring the servicemen home and return them safe and sound to their families and let Bush, Blair, and Hussein do their own dirty work. Dying for poison is utter madness. Killing for poison is unforgivable.
