OUR report and feature marking the first anniversary of Caroline Stuttle's murder make for heart-rending reading.
The emotional earthquake which this terrible event unleashed is clear: the lives of parents Alan and Marjorie have been overturned.
What shines through the grief is that Caroline was a truly inspirational young woman. Although Mr Stuttle is closing his Micklegate gallery, he does so for a positive reason. Spurred by his daughter's example, he is to follow his dream and paint the wonders of the world and raise money for other backpackers.
Together with Caroline's Rainbow Foundation, launched by Mrs Stuttle, they make a remarkable legacy for a remarkable daughter.
