YORK'S Lord Mayor paid a visit to one of the city's schools to congratulate them on achieving the Investors in People award.
Coun David Horton visited Clifton Green Primary School which received the award last month.
Head teacher, Sheila Audsley, said it was a remarkable achievement as staff from Shipton Street Infants and Kingsway Junior only amalgamated in September 2001 to form Clifton Green School.
She said: "The staff have worked extremely hard to develop good relationships with a focus on team spirit to ensure the children receive the very best opportunities."
