PUPILS at Galtres School in York are in for a swinging time, after getting a new piece of equipment with a bit of help from a city store.
Students from the school will now be able to experience what is like to go on a swing - after the school bought a wheelchair swing, with half the cost being funded by Marks & Spencer.
Carole Rutherford, deputy head at Galtres School, said: "It is something that we have wanted for a long time and it will be a big benefit to the students who use wheel chairs."
Marks & Spencer has close links with the school, and provides work experience places for students as well as helping them to raise money.
The store donated £2,500 for the wheelchair swing and the rest was raised by the school.
