Neil Wood, in the final for the fourth time in five years, plays defending champion Clive Whyte tomorrow night in the final of York Conservative clubs' Scruton Cup individual snooker competition.
The final is at Heworth Conservative Club, starts at 7.30pm and will be best of five frames.
Wood beat his Heworth team colleague Simon Burdett 2-0 in the semi-finals while Whyte, also of Bootham and who, like Wood, has won the cup three times, defeated Bootham's Barry Rankin 2-1.
In four rounds to date Wood has still to drop a frame and has compiled breaks of 50, 72 and 81. The competition is sponsored by Tayrol Ltd
