A SMALL team of ten York swimmers travelled to Ponds Forge International Pool to compete in the Sheffield Open Meet. Swimmers from all over Britain provided excellent competition and due to the high standard entries were limited.
Phillip Graves, 13, continues to improve and returned home with two bronze medals in the 100m butterfly and 50m freestyle. He was also fifth in the 100m freestyle.
Katy Sunderland finished eighth in the Open 50m butterfly.
Other York swimmers achieving personal best performances were: Alice Lawrenson, Rachel Stotten, Laura Cuttill, Lauren Mason, Mairi Macdonald, Eilidh Macdonald, Anna Horwell and Gawain Ng.
