MYSTERIOUS giant footprints are set to appear all over an East Yorkshire town.
But don't worry, the gigantic 15 inch footprints won't belong to the elusive Bigfoot, but Britain's tallest ever man.
The Market Weighton Civic Society is planning a trail through the town in tribute to the town's most famous resident, William Bradley. Also known as Giant Bradley, Bradley, who was born in Market Weighton in 1787, towered over the rest of the townspeople at 7ft 9in.
The Giant Bradley Heritage Trail will include 23 granite footprints, exactly the same size as Bradley's staggering 15 inch shoes. The route will take in places of interest in Market Weighton such as Bradley's birth place in York Road, the local churchyard where he was buried in 1820, the Londesborough Arms and the town's duck pond.
Secretary of the Civic Society Mavis Newman said the footprints would be accompanied by brochures, which would point out buildings and areas of historical interest.
