TWO schools are celebrating after been given the Investors in People award.
They are Stockton-on-the-Forest Primary School and Sherburn-in-Elmet High School.
Stockton-on-the-Forest Primary School gained its award after only deciding to try for it in February.
Head teacher Jane Nellar said: "The award is useful as it gives us indicators of how we need to support people within school and to ensure they are doing their jobs as well as they possible can."
Sherburn High School invited MP John Grogan to the school to present its award.
Head teacher Carol Peace said: "We value all of the staff at the school as everyone has an important part to play in providing a first-class education for our students.
"I am thrilled that this has been recognised by Investors In People and am very proud of the positive report which has been produced."
