FREE Lunch is an imaginative tale about Nick Reed, a disillusioned insurance salesman, who escapes from his boring life to search for excitement and adventure.
Launching a new career pretending to be related to Hollywood stars, he travels across America posing as everyone from Goldie Hawn's little brother to John Travolta's son, living off the free gifts thrust on him by starry-eyed fans.
This is an interesting cross between a romantic comedy and a thriller, with the plot sometimes verging on the absurd and unrealistic. But this is page-turning stuff, particularly when Nick falls for an attractive journalist and follows her on a dangerous bounty hunting course for tourists under the guise of Arnold Schwarznegger's son.
Anyone who has ever felt stuck in a rut and dreamed of greater things will enjoy this entertaining fantasy.
