It was silver fish all the way again in the York Tackle match at Poole Bridge Farm for Sunday's 25-pegger, writes Darren Starkey.
Doug Featherstone (Malton and Norton) led from peg 2 where he offered chopped worm at 11 metres for 13lb 12oz of skimmers to just over a pound.
At the opposite end of the Old Pond was sponsor Rita Bell (York Tackle), who targeted roach with pole and caster at 12 metres. She was rewarded with 12lb 7oz of prime red-fins to 12oz.
Others: Steve Williamson (Team Thompson) 11-14-0; Ray Nixon (Holme on Spalding Moor) 11-4-0; Peter Thompson (Team Thompson) and Terry Bell (York Tackle) both 10-13-0.
The odd bonus carp stole a tight 65-peg contest on Maple Lakes at the Oaks for Gary Pawlett (Oaks).
The local expert used pole and pellet tight to the island on peg 48 for carp to 4lb and 30lb 8oz.
Fresh from his Kamasan success based largely on points scored at Woodlands Dean Smith (MAP Elton) was back at the venue that kick-started his famous assault on the title. Fishing the same tactics as the winner from peg 34, Smith bagged 27lb 6oz of small carp to 2lb.
Others: Ian Exley (Middy Team Dons) 26-4-0; Andy Harker (Cleveland Angling Centre) 25-12-0; Chris Hawkes (Oaks) 25-3-0; Paul Taylor (MAP Elton) 24-0-0.
Derek Kilvington (Mitre Angling) topped the Sunday open at Tollerton Ponds with a mixed carp net of 21lb 4oz from the back pond.
Runners-up were Adrian Davies (York) and Colin Sherwood (York), who weighed 19lb 12oz and 12lb 8oz.
