TICKETS for the York Early Music Festival went on sale this week - and the response so far has put a spring in the step of the newly-appointed box office manager.
Caroline Sartin was thrilled to open the public box office line for this year's festival, one week after tickets went on sale for friends of the National Centre for Early Music in St Margaret's Church, Walmgate.
She said the response had been "very good" so far and was expected to get even better.
The festival runs from July 4 to July 13 and focuses on the music of England from the 12th to the 18th centuries.
To book tickets, phone Caroline on 01904 658338 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or leave a message on the answering machine.
