York and District League premier side Dringhouses needed penalties to overcome division one side Copmanthorpe in a cracking York FA Saturday Senior Cup semi-final.
Goalkeeper Mick Conlon was the 'Houses hero when making the all important save to see his side through 6-5 in the shoot-out.
Goals at either end of normal time saw the scores level at 1-1 after 90 minutes and again after normal time.
Dringhouses had gone ahead after only 90 seconds when Joe Gaughan converted a penalty awarded for a push on Mark Woodward.
Cop nearly hit back when Terry Hibbert hit the bar with the 'keeper beaten and later Graham Butcher missed an open goal following a well rehearsed free-kick move, in what was an was an end to end game featuring the class of Dringhouses and the endeavour of Copmanthorpe.
The second half remained end to end but saw some poor finishing by the Dringhouses attack plus a string of great saves by Cop 'keeper Andy Phillips, including a remarkable double save from a Mark Woodward shot.
In the final minutes Copmanthorpe increased the pressure and, with only 17 seconds remaining, Alan Partington scrambled the ball home to force extra time.
Neither side could add further goals, though Copmanthorpe were indebted to 'keeper Phillips for further saves to force the game into the shoot-out.
In the final, Dringhouses will meet Wigginton Grasshoppers, who overcame Kartiers 3-0.
Kartiers had a goal disallowed in a dour first half and the game remained scoreless until 15 minutes from time when Grasshoppers broke the deadlock with a close range shot by Matt Fannon.
John Gilham then headed in number two, again from close range, and in the final minute substitute Luke Roberts ran past a static Kartiers defence for the final goal.
Dringhouses made it a final double for the club as the 'Houses reserve team defeated New Earswick Reserves 3-1 in a scrappy game in their York FA Saturday Junior Cup semi-final.
Dringhouses took the lead early on when Danny Cocker headed in following a fumble by the New Earswick 'keeper and by half-time Jamie Backhouse had added number two from the penalty spot.
Craig Stimpson reduced the arrears ten minutes into the second half when netting for New Earswick following a melee and Dringhouses had to wait until the final minute to breathe a sigh of relief when Rich Burnett shot home following some good team interplay.
Dringhouses Reserves will meet Easingwold Town in the final after the latter charged through by beating LNER Builders 4-2.
Garry Raper headed home a cross from the right after 14 minutes to put Town ahead, and Tony Raper doubled the lead after the interval when running onto a through ball and crashing it into the net.
Paul Rhodes added a third and Clive McGuiness the fourth following a corner from the right to seal the game.
To their credit, Builders kept going to the end and Andy Green scored two late goals to make the final scoreline 4-2.
