IT is nice to see City of York Council wasting £900,000 on a bus location and information sub-system to try to encourage more people to use city buses.
I should prefer to pay less council tax.
With my daughter now paying £1.20 from town to Dringhouses to get home, I can tell Coun Tracy Simpson-Laing (March 19) the way to get people to use buses more is simply to look at the fares.
Reliability should already be built in to any well-run business.
