AS a more mature peace protester (new pensioner), I am sorry Saddam could not have been taken out by the SAS or CIA.
However, now it's war, I did think how terrible it is for the soldiers, who are only working for the governments as a job.
Maybe I thought they would say a prayer and take a deep breath, when they had to fire the first shots of any weapons, perhaps hitting innocent people. But no, I was sickened when I saw on TV the Americans cheering when they fired Tomahawk cruise missiles from a warship in the Northern Gulf.
Let's hope it's over soon, and that they do find weapons of mass destruction. Or George Bush and Tony Blair are going to have egg on their faces.
