NORTH YORKSHIRE equality campaigner John Taylor is in hospital after doctors suspected a possible heart attack.
Mr Taylor, of Norton, was taken to Scarborough Hospital on Wednesday, complaining of pains around his heart.
His wife, Ann, said her husband had not been feeling well since the weekend. "The doctors are still waiting for results of some tests," said Mrs Taylor.
"They don't know whether it may have been fluid around his heart or whether it was actually a heart attack.
"He was not feeling well, but we put it down to indigestion."
Mrs Taylor said her 67-year-old husband had been working hard on his campaign to achieve equal rights for men. Today he was said to be comfortable in hospital.
On Tuesday millions of men will be able to take advantage of cut-price bus fares for the over-60s as a result of the success of Mr Taylor's campaign.
