Thieves targeted an isolated beauty spot to break into two cars while the owners were out walking.
The rear offside windows of a green Renault Laguna and a blue Peugeot 306 were smashed sometime during the day on Thursday from a car park at Blakey Ridge, outside the village of Hutton-le-Hole. A rucksack was taken from the Renault and about £50 worth of damage caused to the Peugeot, although nothing was taken.
