ONLY a major slip-up can prevent Easingwold Town 'A' from winning York Mitchell Sports League division one after another impressive win.
Greg Wilsdon (2), Simon Brown (2), Lawrence Hamzat and Jack Cartwright netted in a 6-0 victory at bottom club Heworth which maintained their 100 per cent record.
Thorpe United, the only team with a mathematical chance of catching the leaders, hit seven without replay at Poppleton, Scott Garman (2), Tom Cust, Nathan Parker, Charles Morton, Tom Wragg and Adam Carse sharing the goals.
Lloyd Crawford scored for Hamilton Panthers and Matthew Heathley for Brooklyn in a 1-1 mid-table draw, while fourth-from-top Haxby Town lost to third-bottom Rawcliffe 2-0.
Second-bottom Fulford gleaned a point from a 2-2 draw with Dunnington, Chris Baughan and Sam Bell netting for Fulford and S Castle and R Chipps replying.
Pickering Town were confirmed as division two champions without even playing as second-placed Bishopthorpe White Rose can not now catch them after losing 3-2 to lowly New Earswick.
Two goals for A Shone and one for C Fisher gave them the points, J Olley and D Yon replying.
In another shock, Easingwold Town 'B', for whom James Manderfield scored, earned their first point with a 1-1 draw against third-placed Tadcaster Albion, for whom James Best netted.
Andrew Hall hit a hat-trick and Danny Baxter, Tom Shaughnessy and an own goal also netted as Stamford Bridge beat Wigginton Grasshoppers 6-1, S Farquhar replying, while Pocklington drew 3-3 with Strensall, C Dennington, A Marshall and A Davis scoring for Pock and Chris Leedham, Luke Bannaghan and Daryl Robson for Strensall.
