THIS is a golden age for Mr Yellow. His favourite colour dominates the city, with a display of daffodils which has never been better.
The spring sunshine shows off the honeyed walls of the Minster at their majestic best.
And, as a man who makes his living from the tourists who flock to York, he must be delighted that the city has been given a fantastic write-up in the Lonely Planet Guide. To cap it all, Mr Yellow stars in one of our brightest pictures.
No wonder he's smiling.
