A FARMER will tomorrow be evicted from the North Yorkshire farm where he has lived all his life.
George Copeland said he had failed in a final bid at York County Court today to defer his eviction from Walnut Tree Farm, Thorpe Bassett, near Rillington.
He said he had lodged an application for a deferral after a housing association had been unable so far to find him somewhere else to live. "I will be sleeping under a hedge tomorrow night," he claimed.
Mr Copeland, 53, is being evicted after he was twice late paying the rent in 2000 while he was suffering from financial difficulties.
