A MOTORCYCLIST was injured following a collision with a car on a busy York road.
The accident happened outside the Black Bull hotel, in Hull Road, at about 8.09pm, last night.
A Tees, East and North Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the biker was in collision with a vehicle, thought to be an estate car. She said the injured motorcyclist was taken to the accident and emergency department at York Hospital. It is believed he suffered a broken leg.
The accident caused significant delays to traffic as police accident investigators tried to piece together what had happened.
A North Yorkshire Police control spokesman said the road had been blocked, but was reopened to traffic by 9.05pm.
