NATURAL theft protection for gardeners is being promoted by crimebusters trying to beat a prickly problem.
Community safety experts at Harrogate Borough Council are urging people to grow thorny plants under windows and around sheds to keep burglars away.
The advice comes as garden thefts become a growing problem. Robin Davies, crime reduction officer, said: "Thefts from gardens and burglary of garages, garden sheds and tool stores is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the country at the moment."
