ACORN Under-13s beat Stanley (Wakefield) 38-22 in a physical game to secure fourth position in the Yorkshire League division one.
David Leeke crossed for a hat-trick and Adam Jones got two tries, while Ross Varley kicked three goals for a 26-8 lead at half-time.
Acorn lost some concentration in the second half and allowed the visitors to gain some respect from the scoreline. Man of the match Jones crossed for two more tries. There were also good displays from Adam Craven, Paul Cross, Danny Birkitt.
New Earswick All Blacks ARL U13s beat West Leeds 46-0. Alex Redhead scored three tries, Elliot Bridges and John Taal two each and Sean McArthur, Jack Sinclair and Jamie Norris one each. John Patrick, Chris Penrose and Sinclair added the conversions.
Acorn U12s beat Gateshead 26-4. Acorn went 10-0 ahead with tries from Louie Johnson and Taz Fernandez.
After Gateshead had scored their only try a cross-field kick by Fernandez was taken by Johnson, who got his second try of the match. Dave Magson then crossed, closely followed by prop Oliver Hare touching down his first try for the club.
Goals were kicked by Nathan Potter, Fernandez and Ryan Richardson.
Grant Spain topped the tackler count.
Ben Johnston scored four tries as Acorn U11s beat Stanley Rangers 44-10. Other try scorers were Ben Sleightholm, Ricky James, Anthony Chilton and Stuart Leeke.
Conversions were kicked by James, Chilton, Johnston, Hyde, Josh Mortimer and Wilkinson.
Sleightholm scored with his first touch of the ball. Tyler Dawson was man of the match.
Ryan Gallagher and Danny Atkins scored tries for Acorn U9s against Featherstone Lions, who won the match with eight tries.
