City of York Under-10 'A' team (the Romans) won the Yorkshire Youth League with an unbeaten run of games.
A 2-0 victory over Normanby Park got things off to a good start followed by a second 2-0 win over Wakefield followed.
In a tougher duel York overcame Adel 2-1 before a 1-0 success over Slazengers kept the ball rolling. But York still needed a draw against Ben Rhydding to be sure of the title.
York started strongly and the pressure paid off, with an early goal.
A second strike sealed the crown for the team of Alfie Chase, Tom Feasby (captain), Charlie Green, Jonathan Kilmartin, Edward McCartney-Moore, Michael Sansoni and Will Sorby.
City of York Under 10 'B' team (the Vikings) missed regular striker James Aveyard and were unable to convert any chances in defeats by Brigg, Kirklees, Harrogate (all 1-0), and Rotherham (3-0).
James Kilmartin and Jack Feasby made their debuts and regulars Oliver Bonney, Ashley Phythian, Tom Moss and Ryan Wilson gave their all as usual.
After conceding the previous round due to other fixtures the U16 girls stormed back with three victories.
They beat Harrogate 2-0 with A Smalley and J Barnes on target.
Then, strikes from Barnes and S Pearson completed 2-0 win over Adel before Driffield were beaten 3-0 Smalley, B Raper and Pearson, with a a penalty flick, sharing the booty.
