Nestl Rowntree relied on the Fogg to eclipse hosts Whitby in a gripping encounter.
Geraldine Fogg grabbed the only goal of the game for the visitors, who were solid throughout.
Whitby applied early pressure forcing Paula Ridge and Natalie O'Connor to make some game-saving challenges.
Whitby continued to dominate but were unable to breach the Rowntrees' defence.
The second half saw the visitors fight back to put their own pressure on the Whitby defence.
Determination was beginning to show in Rowntrees' play as they continued to attack.
As Rowntrees stayed patient and continued to fight, the ball was played in from the right wing and Fogg was able to slot it into the right hand side of the goal.
The remaining minutes saw Whitby desperately attack in search of an equaliser but Rowntrees remained solid to come away victorious.
