TWO women have broken away from their York accountancy firm to launch their own North Yorkshire accountancy service.
Linda Hare, 32, and Kate Edson, 26, finally left Clive Owen & Company of York for their own venture called hareedson, based at Linda's house in Melbourne, near Elvington.
Kate, who lives at Clifton Moor, said: "We decided to leave after more than five years at Clive Owen and offer what we can do best - bookkeeping, tax returns, management accounts, business planning, VAT returns and accounting software training."
Both are both members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Linda is also a chartered tax adviser. Kate said: "I have just been on maternity leave after having my child, Mia, in December, and Linda was my good work pal so we decided that we would take on the challenge ourselves."
