An enhanced website listing opportunities for funding job creation and community projects has been launched.
More than £25 million a year is available to York and North Yorkshire from the European Union and government agencies.
The website is provided by the York and North Yorkshire Partnership Unit, an independent unit sponsored by public bodies such as local councils, National Parks, Colleges, the Police and local agencies Yorkshire Forward, Business Link and the Learning and Skills Councils.
The unit, based at Clifton Moor, supports local organisations developing projects for funding and helps the region to bring together strategies for new jobs.
Projects that could be assisted include support and grants for businesses, investment in new employment areas and workshops, training and community development projects.
Jonathan French, executive manager of the unit, said that many members of the public were interested in how their local economy is developing, and this website at www.ynypu.org.uk gave the answers.
