TREASURED scenes of Yorkshire will be on show in a popular York tourist attraction.
Staff at the Treasurers House, which opens to the public again today, have created a new art gallery in the basement.
The National Trust house used to have a smaller gallery in another part of the building but visitors will be able to visit the new exhibition space, which is next to the tea room, for free.
Property manager Jane Whitehead said the gallery was an exciting new development for the Treasurers House.
The first exhibition, which will run for a month, will feature work from Yorkshire artists Mary Farnell and Carolyn Stevenson.
It will include pictures of the region's famous landmarks as well as stunning scenes of the coastline and countryside.
The Treasurers House is open from 11am to 4.30pm every day except Friday.
