ABOUT 3,000 Nestl Rowntree workers in York joined people across the nation in taking Britain's biggest-ever break.
The confectionery firm encouraged its employees - and tens of thousands of other workers including staff at York & County Press - to have a cuppa and a KitKat and chill out for 15 minutes yesterday afternoon.
Nestl said that by taking a break, people were also helping other families have their own break of a lifetime.
"KitKat has linked up with BREAK, the UK charity that provides help for children, adults and families with special needs," said a spokeswoman.
"It offers UK holidays in Norfolk and the West Country for children with disabilities while their families take a much-needed break."
Two York Nestl employees, Nicki Turner, who works in the Yorkie Plant, and Rhian Blake, who works in Logistics, won a Super Break from their company yesterday, which included waiter service at their desks and a massage.
