A NURSE who brought a York doctors' surgery to life is retiring after 25 years' service.
Practice sister Wendy Davison, was treated to gifts and a buffet lunch at Petergate Surgery, to mark her good work with staff and patients.
Colleagues spanning 25 years of her working life gathered on Tuesday to present her with garden vouchers and flowers.
Practice manager Sandra Jackson said Wendy would be greatly missed by all she worked with.
She said: "She is very popular here. She knew lots of patients and families with being part of the organisation for so long and knew many generations of families. She is a very caring person."
Wendy, who will turn 60 shortly, will leave the surgery on March 28.
She will use the opportunity to visit friends and work in her garden.
