YORK RI Ladies kept their grip on York Badminton League's ladies division one title with a 7-2 win over University Students.
Heather Powell and Nicola Goggins top-scored with three wins for a total of 90-14, while Nicky Roe and Heather Turner responded well for the students.
St John's Ladies had mixed fortunes in division two, winning 7-2 at home to Pocklington and then losing 7-2 at home to Huntington. The student pairing of Lucy Smith and Lindsay Spicer claimed three wins against Pocklington for a total of 90-9.
Huntington's Bev Tebbutt and Angela Hobman returned 92-49, including a 15-13 17-16 over Smith and Spicer.
University Students 'B' won 8-1 at Knavesmire in men's two with Ben Tilley and Peter Robinson doing the damage with 90-20. John Major and Alastair Jewison took the consolation with a 15-9 15-17 15-4 victory over Dave Rogers and Peter Gosnald.
Clifton 'B' whitewashed Mark Weighton in men's three before beating Fulfordgate 6-3 at home. Mark Screeton and Stuart Robinson took the honours against Market Weighton with 90-15.
In the Fulfordgate match the visiting pairing of Matt Hobman and Pete Twidell clocked up three wins for 128-100.
University Students 'A' continued their good form with a 7-2 win at Clifton 'A'.
Nicky Roe and Russell Binns kept up their good understanding with 90-22. Kevin Davison and Shelagh Barker played well for Clifton, and were rewarded with a 13-15 15-11 15-3 victory over Jo Ladds and Nick Burton.
Clifton 'B' lacked consistency in mixed one, with a 7-2 home defeat by Drax 'A' followed by a 6-3 win over University Students 'B'.
The Drax 'A' pairing of Scott Anderson and Gayle Bradley returned 112-74, while Clifton duo Paul Whitehouse and Karen Anderson made the difference in the University match with three wins for 99-76.
Drax 'A's next match saw them visit University Students 'B' and grab a 5-4 win.
Anderson and Bradley caught the eye with a match-winning maximum for a total of 92-63 - all taken in straight sets.
Mixed two results saw Rowntrees 'A' ease to an 8-1 win at Easingwold. Phil Grant and Helen Shepherd hit top form for the confectionery side with three wins for 90-51.
Sheriff Hutton defeated Pocklington 'A' 6-3 with Andy Daffern and Jo Wade chalking up three wins for 90-24.
Mark Burrows and Pam Palmer won twice for Pock but lost 3 and 2 to Daffern and Wade.
St Johns scored a narrow 5-4 home win over Selby Jubilee 'A' in mixed three thanks to 90-56 from three wins by Liam Whittington and Lindsay Spicer.
Pete Murphy and Gill Soothill won twice for Jubilee.
Fulfordgate 'B' scored a rare mixed five win with a 5-4 home win over Drax 'F'.
Alan Roberts and Lorraine Gregory were in great form for the home team taking three straight wins for 90-33 in their first match together.
Middlethorpe recorded a 7-2 home win over Pocklington 'C' in mixed six with Ann Oxley and Ian Thompson amassing 92-51 from three victories.
