CREATIVE students in York were this afternoon showcasing their work as part of a new exhibition in the city.
Outdoor seating designs by talented first year students at York St John College, which were inspired by York's Millennium Bridge, were being displayed at the Barbican Centre in a bid to promote Yorkshire's fast-growing creative industries.
Pictured here is Emma Cusick, a third year art design and technology student at York St John College, as she admires the work by some of her fellow students.
The students were being joined by more than 30 other exhibitors including representatives from the music, film, media, publishing, arts, theatre and tourism industries.
The exhibition, called Creative Futures, was the final event in the city's popular Festival Of Discovery.
As a finale to the exhibition, international business speaker Dr Ken Robinson was delivering a talk based on his work in the areas of innovation, communication and the powers of creativity.
