Rob Murphy grabbed a last-minute equaliser for Wigginton Grasshoppers in their York Leeper Hare Reserve 'A' game at South Bank just as it looked as if goals from Louis Bootland and Dave Kettlewell had taken the points for the home side. Liam Holmes was the other Grasshoppers target man.
Richard Broadbent hit a hat-trick for Kartiers as they entertained second in the table Osbaldwick and, although the visitors managed to pull one back through Paul Crangle, Osso then conceded an own goal to lose 4-1.
Poppleton rampaged to a 6-1 Reserve 'B' triumph at Moor Lane with goals from Dan Adams (3), Dan Barratt (2) and Charlie Jackson, but they left it late.
With 20 minutes to go they led narrowly at 2-1, the hosts actually breaking the deadlock through Charlie Goodwin. Stamford Bridge enjoyed the same 6-1 margin of goal-grabbing superiority against Rufforth with a hat-trick from Simon Walters leading a goal apiece for Chris Plowman, Chris Allen and John Hetherton. Ian Ware hit a consolation for Rufforth.
Wigginton Black Horse went two better at Riccall where Angus Clapham was the day's top scorer with a five-goal haul.
James Wood, James Luck and Stephen Pearson were also on target to wrap up an 8-1 win in which Riccall's lone bright spot was a reply from Tony Fowler.
Wilberfoss's Reserve 'C' promotion hopes suffered a hefty knock as they failed to take a single point from a double header on their own ground against bottom of the table Heworth.
Tim Rye gave Heworth a 1-0 win in the first game and the same player was again on target to add to a Carl Turpin goal as the visitors staged a shock second triumph.
As a result of Wilberfoss' misfortune and a 4-1 walloping of Wheldrake, White Horse moved into third place in the table.
Once more, Marshall twins Jonathan, with two goals, and David were their key marksmen. Michael Cockeram added a fourth, while Nick Willis bagged the Wheldrake goal.
Dave McCafferty claimed a hat-trick and Shaun Linton grabbed a lone strike as Stillington won 6-3 at home to LNER Builders, but it was two own goals which eventually swung the game Stillington's way.
Chris Hague (penalty), Mark Winter and Ben Wallace were on target for The Builders.
Will Spowart gave Norton the lead in the first half as they entertained Hamilton Panthers, but Craig Fletcher levelled for the visitors one minute into the second half and they went on to post a 3-1 triumph with a brace of strikes from Steve Gagan.
Table-toppers Thorpe United were given a close game by a weakened Huby side who started with ten men and were only able to field a full complement just ten minutes before the break.
They were one down after a Richard Cust goal against the ten men but there were only ten minutes to go when firstly Mick Tiplady and then Chris Hoy managed further goals for Thorpe. In between that double-hit Huby had managed to miss a penalty.
