YORK City boss Terry Dolan remains hopeful Keith Graydon's proposed loan move to Bootham Crescent will finally go through next week.
As reported on our website - www.thisisyork.co.uk - Dolan's hopes of including Graydon in the squad that tackled Bournemouth today were scuppered late yesterday afternoon by the Football League.
The League would not sanction the one-month loan deal agreed with Premiership strugglers Sunderland because of City's current financial woes which have left the club in administration.
However, Dolan told the Evening Press that providing the City Supporters' Trust take-over of the club is ratified at Monday's crucial meeting of creditors, he is confident the deal will get the green light next week.
Meanwhile, City fans are being offered the chance to repay their Sunderland counterparts with a trip to the Stadium of Light next month to cheer on the Black Cats.
With City having a free Saturday on April 5, the Harrogate Minstermen, a branch of the City Supporters' Club, have organised a coach trip to watch Sunderland's Premiership clash with Chelsea on that day.
The trip north follows last week's gesture by Sunderland fans, who turned up at Bootham Crescent to offer their support to the Minstermen in their Division Three clash with Cambridge United.
As reported in the Evening Press, the Sunderland fans even conducted their own bucket collection at the ground which raised another £800 for Trust funds.
The Harrogate Minstermen have received permission from Sunderland to conduct their own bucket collection at the Stadium of Light on April 5.
The Premiership club have also agreed to offer tickets for the game at discounted prices for City fans who travel on the specially-arranged coach.
The cost of the trip, including admission, will be £18 for Harrogate Minstermen members and £20 for non-members.
The departure points are Bootham Crescent (10am), The Marquis of Granby, Knaresborough (10:30am) and Harrogate Odeon (10:45am).
