ACOUSTIC blues man King Rollo plays the Tap And Spile, in Monkgate, York, on Sunday, March 16 at 8pm.
"It took me 30 years to find a way of performing that has an indelible watermark of authenticity and originality," he says. "Now I just want to share it."
Crossing the barriers of blues and roots boundaries, Rollo blends the traditional with the contemporary in his country blues, as heard on his three albums. His latest, The Unexpurgated Truth, showcases his approach to playing music: one man and his guitar against the rest of the world.
Away from the concert platform, Rollo teaches blues and finger-style techniques to novice and advanced guitar students.
Admission to Sunday's concert is free.
