CHISINAU National Opera is to present Bizet's Carmen at the Grand Opera House, York, on March 23.
Already 800 tickets have been sold for "the most seductive opera ever written", and with the 7.30pm performance likely to sell out, promoters Ellen Kent and Opera International kindly are providing one pair of tickets for an Evening Press competition. The winner also will receive a bottle of Russian method champagne, a cooling fan and a programme for the show.
Tickets remain available at £22.50 to £32 on 01904 671818 but prompt booking is advised.
Question: Who wrote the opera Carmen?
