A YORK City reserves team featuring four youth team players in the starting line-up lost 1-0 at Boston United last night.
Despite the York Street defeat, there were plenty of positives for City boss Terry Dolan with youngsters Bryan Stewart, Adam Arthur, Steven Baynes and goalkeeper David Stockdale all playing well.
Stockdale is currently serving as Michael Ingham's understudy after ousting John Collinson from the number two spot.
In further boosts for Dolan, midfielder Stephen Brackstone and defender Gary Hobson both came through 90 minutes unscathed as they look to pep up their match fitness after illness and injury respectively.
David Town scored Boston's winning goal to give the in-form Pilgrims' second-string their sixth win in seven outings.
