A ROADSHOW celebrating the special wildlife of North Yorkshire will be making a flying visit to Knaresborough later this month.
The Waders And Grazers roadshow is a fun-packed evening of comedy, songs, competitions and silly sketches that explores the wonderful birds and other wildlife that make the county so special.
Local families are invited to join in the fun and games when the show, organised by RSPB Wildlife Explorers rolls into town on Wednesday. It will open at Knaresborough Community Centre, Stockwell Avenue, at 6.30pm.
The roadshow includes music, stories, competitions and prizes. All the activities have an environmental theme, with the biggest elements being fun and audience participation.
The show is staged by professional entertainers, Ticklish Allsorts, who promise "smashing entertainment for kids and grownups too".
RSPB regional youth officer Emma Boor said: "The reservoirs, lakes and rivers of North Yorkshire are great places to see wild ducks and wading birds - the waders and grazers of the show. The Wildlife Explorers Roadshow is a brilliant way to find out more about the fascinating wildlife on your doorstep."
Tickets for the Roadshow, which lasts for about two hours, cost £2 each for adults and children and are available on the door. You don't need to be an RSPB Wildlife Explorers member to go along.
