CELEBRITIES from the world of pop and television will be helping to raise cash at a charity event at a North Yorkshire stately home.
Tony Hadley, former lead singer in Spandau Ballet, and TV prankster Jeremy Beadle will be entertaining guests at a Black and Diamond charity ball in the magnificent parklands of Castle Howard, made famous in the hit TV drama Brideshead Revisited.
The pair will be raising funds for CLIC - Cancer & Leukaemia In Childhood - at the event, which is set to include a celebrity auction and the chance to win a fantastic holiday through South Africa Travel. Andy Jarrett, from the charity, said: "CLIC is totally dependent on voluntary contributions and fundraising to maintain and develop its vital services.
"The Black and Diamond charity ball promises not only to be a spectacular evening but also a highly successful fundraising event.
"The money raised will go a long way towards funding the first CLIC nurse for the Yorkshire region."
Tickets and more information about the event, on Saturday May 3, are available from Suzanne Marshall on 01759 318162 or Ros Los on 01430 861465.
