PUPILS from St Wilfrid's RC Primary School, York, received a cheque for £500 from Marks & Spencer which will go towards the school's environmental project.
The project, organised by the Parents and Teachers Association, aims to improve the school's playground. Plans include planting flowers and building playhouses.
Staff at Marks & Spencer identified the project as one worthy of funding and nominated it for the donation.
Pictured receiving the cheque are pupils Hannah Jackson and Joe Rhodes, with from back left, head teacher Carol Brayshaw, Marks & Spencer staff Colm Flanaghan, Julia Freed and Lesley Whittaker and pupils Edward Lowther and Ellie Street.
