ORGANISERS of one of York's biggest-ever demonstrations have set up a temporary office to handle inquiries and co-ordinate administrative matters.
York Against The War says there has been an unprecedented level of interest in what is being billed as the city's biggest-ever anti-war demo, which will take place on Saturday.
The phone line, for inquiries from the general public and organisations interested in joining the march, opened today on 01904 673165.
Rowan Walker, who will manage the temporary office, said: "We have already had 100 phone calls about the demo, as well as loads of hits on the website. The fact that we are setting up an office for the week illustrates how big this demo will be."
