A NORTH Yorkshire barmaid turned detective to find her daughter and her friend who had been missing from home for two days.
Barlby High School students Emmie Whitton, 15, and Hayley Pilmoor, 14, disappeared on Wednesday, sparking a police search.
But it was Emmie's mother, Judith, 41, of York Road, Barlby, who found both girls in a flat, in Goole.
Mrs Whitton said: "We had an idea they might be in Goole and fortunately I know a lot of people there.
"I spent all Thursday night walking the streets in Goole and just asking around."
Yesterday morning she and Hayley's mother, Diane Broadhead, 38, of Hull Road, Osgodby, knocked on the door of the flat to be met by their daughters.
