There was standing room only at York Baptist Church when 1960s singing sensation Helen Shapiro took to the stage.
More than 200 people flocked to the church, in Priory Street, York, to listen to the former child prodigy, who shot to fame at the age of 14 with hits like Walking Back To Happiness and Don't Treat Me Like A Child.
In a two-hour performance, she sang songs of worship, as well as the songs which made her famous, and talked about her Christian faith.
Last night's performance was the latest in a world-wide tour of gospel concerts started by the prolific recording artist in 1989.
Shapiro has also starred in pantomime, cabaret and films, and found fame as a jazz singer, performing with Humphrey Lyttleton and the BBC Big Band.
