MATHS was brought to life for youngsters at a York school with a visit from charismatic author Kjartan Poskitt.
Kjartan, a former children's television presenter, has written a string of popular maths books including Murderous Maths, The Gobsmacking Galaxy, Isaac Newton And His Apple, and Killer Puzzles.
Kjartan gave a lively presentation to the pupils as well as launching the school's readathon to raise money for children's charities, the Roald Dahl Foundation and Sargent Cancer Care for Children.
Susia Locket, a librarian at St Olave's, said: "Kjartan was enormous fun, the children really enjoyed it and he was very entertaining."
