RAIL bosses working at a North Yorkshire train station have asked for help to curb drug use on the platforms.
Arriva Trains Northern and the British Transport Police say they have received reports of people smoking cannabis at Malton Station.
Peter Myers, head of stations at Arriva, said they were very concerned to hear about the problem.
"We do not condone this kind of behaviour and would always seek to ensure those individuals are reported to the British Transport Police," he said.
Mr Myers said that if it took place when the ticket office and waiting rooms were closed, then people should contact the British Transport Police directly on their freephone number, which is 0800 405040.
