BASKETBALL players from one North Yorkshire school have been wiping the floor with the opposition after completing an unbeaten run of two years.
Ryedale School's under-13 team have played together since they started at the school, and have just walked off with the Scarborough and District Basketball Championship.
PE teacher Philip Marwood said the boys were a determined group.
"They have played against all of the schools around, and although they once drew against Lady Lumley's in Pickering, they have never been beaten," he said.
"They have done really well and practised hard throughout the two years they've been here. We only have about 500 pupils at the school, and the team have played against much bigger schools in Scarborough, and still beaten them all."
The team practised once a week, as well as during PE lesson times. "Most of them are just really good ball handlers," he added.
