NORTH Yorkshire Road Racing Supporters' Club is holding an evening in memory of one of its most popular members on Tuesday, March 18, at Club Amadeus in Northallerton.
Harrogate racer Simon 'Ronnie' Smith was killed in a road accident in January and the club wanted to honour his contribution to their success over the years and raise some money for his partner Jane and two children.
Racing stars including Jamie Whitham, Steve Plater, David Jefferies and John McGuinness will take part in a chat show.
Another feature of the evening will be a memorabilia auction. Many top racers and teams have donated goods including sets of leathers, race and team clothing, boots, helmets, signed prints and posters.
There will be a raffle and late bar with the action getting underway at 8pm. Admission is £2.50 with all proceeds going to the dependent's trust fund.
