THE Middleton Hunt would like to invite readers to attend its annual point-to-point race meeting on Sunday, April 6, at Whitwell-on-the-Hill, Malton. The first race is at 1.30pm.
The sport of point-to-point racing is enjoying increased popularity and this season boasts more than 200 fixtures.
Most of these race meetings are organised and run by local hunts and every horse that you will see racing has been qualified out in the hunting field - an example of the undeniable link between these two traditional and popular country pursuits.
It is a vibrant and colourful country sport, and provides a great family day out.
