A POPULAR village pub near York has been sold.
Newly-formed pub company The Three Ms has bought the Dawnay Arms, at Newton-on-Ouse, near York. The country pub, pictured, which is on the banks of the River Ouse, was owned by Tim Longley and his family for seven years. But Mr Longley has decided to retire from the pub trade after establishing a good all-year round business at the inn. Offers in the region of £525,000 were sought for the three-storey building, which has two bars, a restaurant and a beer garden.
