I THANK everyone who helped my grandmother, Mrs Kathleen Carry, after she fell in York on January 17.
I would especially like to thank the City of York Council workers who helped her to her feet, the staff of Lunn Poly in Parliament Street who took her into the shop, gave her a cup of tea and contacted her family, and the medical staff who treated her.
I am pleased to say that once she had been checked over she was allowed home and, although she has some severe facial bruising and is very sore and shaken, she is on the mend, thanks to you.
Maxine Smith,
Tree Close,
West Bank, York.
