DETECTIVES investigating the death of York busker Anthony Grayson have arrested a 22-year-old man.
The man, arrested yesterday evening, is being questioned at York's Fulford Road police station in connection with the death.
Mr Grayson, 38, died on June 4 last year at his flat in George Street, off Walmgate, in the city centre.
A murder-style inquiry was launched after a post-mortem examination revealed he had suffered internal injuries, which were thought to have been caused in a violent attack.
Mr Grayson shared the flat in George Street with his fiance and partner of six years, Jackie Dawson.
At the time of his death, she told the Evening Press that she had called emergency services at 6am that morning after Mr Grayson was found lying on the living room floor.
Mr Grayson was a familiar sight in York streets busking on his harmonica with his dog, Benji.
